APALIT, Pampanga --- School kids in this town received raincoats and umbrellas from the police during the first day of classes on Monday (June 3, 2019).
PLt. Col. Elmer Decena, chief of police of Apalit town led the flag ceremony and a short program at the Sampaga Elementary School where elementary pupils received umbrellas and raincoats courtesy of the Apalit Police Station.
Decena said that the project is their simple gift to the students to protect them from being wet during the rainy season which coincides with the first few months of classes.
The chief of police also reminded the students to study well and become future leaders.
For her part, Aurora Nabong, school principal of Sampaga Elementary thanked the police for helping and providing the kids with the much needed things for the schools days. (Jimjim Hipolito)
